To celebrate this year’s National Week of Making (June 16-22), the SkillsUSA Makerspace will feature hands on opportunities for guests to experience what our students and business and industry partners are doing in their trade fields in alignment with the Maker Movement. This year’s theme will focus on “How Do I Fit In” and will include interactive exhibits focused on educating students on how their skills and passion can translate into real life careers.
The “MakerSpace,” located in the East Hall, will feature fun and exciting opportunities to get hands-on in several maker-inspired events. Stop by and see a glowing inferno during a live flame working demonstration, keep your egg safe during a drop test from three feet or higher, add your very own custom-made gear to our giant gear wall, 3D print and soar your very own rocket, and more! Special thanks to our sponsors: GE Appliances and FirstBuild.
