What does it mean to be a maker?

Being a maker means bridging the gap between the theoretical and the actual. It means actually rolling up your sleeves, putting down the computer, and picking up a saw (or 3D printer)!

What are you doing in the Maker community?

I run Gossamer, a design firm that helps hardware startups take their product from conceptual all the way to manufacturing. We are working with some world-class startups to help create truly innovative consumer goods that will truly change the way we interact with the world.

Who are some other Makers you admire and why?

Will Benoist, my co-worker. When an idea strikes or he's on the hunt for an answer, time and effort melts away and he's a man on a mission!
