What does it mean to be a maker?

A Maker is a team or individual who creates something functional--or makes an improvement on an existing product--that the world is waiting for.

What are you doing in the Maker community?

I don't have a team, but I have an idea for a device that would be a boon for cat or dog owner. It's an automatic animal groomer with built-in scratching fingers and low noise vacuum. Owners would use behavior shaping to train the animal to go in at predetermined times.

Who are some other Makers you admire and why?

Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison were Makers who changed the course of history and improved the lives of those fortunate enough to benefit from the products of their genius.
